Cacky is an absolute necessity – even for a groom! Cacky was an all-star before, during, and after our wedding. Leading up to our wedding, she came over to advise on packing, luggage, outfits, and even had recommendations for specific collar stays given the look I was going for. Our trip required more planning being an international wedding, and thanks to Cacky’s knowledge and experience here, we arrived with every intended piece of luggage and clothing.

As the groom, I wasn’t initially planning on needing an aide during our wedding, but I was so wrong. I found myself asking Cacky for advice more and more frequently, and she always had an answer or solution, especially for things you forgot to plan for. I don’t even know where to begin on how amazing Cacky was for my wedding!! She got there early to steam not only my dress but my mom’s dress, and 10 bridesmaids’ dresses which is no easy task!! I can not emphaszie how much you need to hire Cacky! If you are on the fence, don’t be because she is A MUST!! From the second Cacky arrived she was my wedding day fairy godmother. She was kind, patient, skilled and above all else prepared for ANYTHING! She immediately began steaming all 16 of the dresses plus after party dresses for myself, my bridal party and the many family members getting ready with me. She helped me get in and out of my dress at any point I needed which took so much stress off my mother and sister, so they could just enjoy the day with me. I had a shoulder piece to my dress she took on and off throughout the entire picture process and made sure it was perfectly placed when I walked down the aisle. She took my veil in and out for pictures to get all different shots.

If I needed something, Cacky was right there with it. The gnats happened to be particularly bad on my wedding day, she had bug spray and cortisone cream and ensured I didn’t welt up from the bites. Furthermore, she would stand next to me and fan me the entire time until the picture was snapped and she would jump out. LIFE SAVER! She adjusted my bustle perfectly for me, including re-sewing buttons, to ensure I had the best time in my dress at the reception. She made sure my groom and I had drinks, water, food brought to us- anything we needed. I was unsure at first if this was something we needed at the wedding, and now I don’t know how I would have gotten through the day without her. What an amazing help she was, but also an amazing person to be around! Thank you Cacky!!

So to start – I am a wedding planner here in Charleston so I have seen just about everything. I genuinely cannot put into words how helpful and KIND Cacky is. She is a superwoman – she can handle just about anything a stressful wedding day throws at her!!!! She steamed my dress, all of my bridesmaid dresses. She was able to get a stain out of my dress, and fixed a tear in my mom’s dress! I cannot recommend Cacky enough! Charleston was a destination wedding location for us, and with our entire bridal party traveling from the Boston area (and my parents driving that long distance to Charleston with my gown and the groom’s tux) and I knew we would be needing dresses and tuxes steamed. Cacky was so easy to communicate with. She thoroughly inspected every dress and suit, and really went above and beyond to make sure everything was in pristine condition on the wedding day at the venue. I initially wasn’t sure if I was going to have my dress steamed and Cacky had no problem with me wanting to decide on the day of.

While looking my dress over on the wedding day, she noticed a slight mistake that my seamstress had made which would have puckered the back of my dress a little when it was bustled and definitely would have been noticeable in pictures. I worked with Cat on my wedding day and she was an absolute life saver! She was my fairy godmother!
