Cacky was so wonderful–so loving and caring. She took such extra-special care of my daughter on her wedding day. I couldn’t have done it without her. At the last minute a button came off my daughters wedding dress and Cacky was prepared. She sewed the button back on and because that made me so nervous, she stayed for the full time.. I thought I could do without her but I couldn’t. I realized I really needed her to be there.
She was so important and I would never, ever do a wedding without her. I totally suggest that anyone who uses her services need to use her for the full amount of time. It is so worth it! I love you, Cacky! Thanks for everything.

After the disappointment of having their destination wedding canceled, our daughter and her fiancé were happy to just head to the court house…not so fast, we wanted our only child to have a wedding to remember. Weddings are involved, even more so with strict Covid protocols. I was stressing to a friend that I had no clue how to “bustle” a gown, steam a veil..heck we couldn’t even go to NYC for fittings!! My friend just said “you’ve gotta get Cacky” and we did.
Cacky is just wonderful, she is the Bride’s aid, MOB & FOB’s aid, aid to the photographers, videographer. Problem solver extraordinaire, calm, efficient and just fun. We didn’t have to worry about a thing, getting ready was a breeze. Cacky steamed, sewed buttons, bustled, she anticipated every need and was ready….. truly a Godsend …YOU’VE GOTTA GET CACKY!

I am so fortunate that Cacky came into our life just the day before my wedding. I didn’t realize all the services that she offered, but I’m so glad that I found out about them when she was steaming my dress! It seemed like a no brainer to have her join us the next day as we were expecting poor weather, and I thought her assistance would be beneficial. I had no idea just how much of an asset she would be!

Cacky’s help at our daughter’s wedding was invaluable, and not just to the bride! She steamed and ironed all the bridesmaids’ dresses which had been packed in suitcases and our daughter’s wedding dress which was still in its box from New York. She helped me (the MOB) with my dress, fixing something that would have shown up in all the photographs. Even more, my left heel kept coming out of its shoe. I didn’t know how I was going to walk down the aisle. (Even though I had stuffed the toe with a Kleenex.). However, Cacky “dived into her bag” and immediately fixed the problem. I walked down the aisle and danced…with the shoe fitting perfectly!! Cacky even helped repair one of the groomsmen’s Coats. Cacky was not a “luxury;” she was a necessity! And, she is a thoroughly nice person!

She’ll whisk in and steam all of the bridesmaid’s dresses as well as make sure the brides is to perfection. If someone has an emergency she fixes it right away. My bridesmaid’s dress ripped and without even knowning Cacky had sewn it. She keeps you at ease while make sure you look your very best in all your pictures. She’ll even massage your feet! I cannot say enough good words about Cacky!!! She is more than amazing. Our relationship started 5 years ago when I had my destination wedding in Charleston. I had some challenges that she helped me to breeze through, and she also helped talk me off a cliff or two. But that’s NOT what this review is about.
Let’s fast forward to this past weekend when she had to save my sister-in-law’s day. I had contacted my sister’s wedding planner looking for someone who could steam my bridesmaid dress (as I was sure to wrinkle during my travel) and was rudely told by the planner that she could not help me. When I spoke to the bride about who was steaming her dress, I learned that she had no one in place and did not realize that her dress might require steaming. So, I remembered my dear Cacky and decided to reach out to her in a Hail Mary effort to get a last-minute recommendation. I had no idea that Cacky would jump in to help us herself. This busy woman took our request at the very last minute, and as always, her work was impeccable.

Cacky was everything any bride could hope for on the day of her wedding and so much more!!! Cacky arrived early and went over a timeline of the day with me. She began steaming all of my girls’ dresses and my wedding dress… She sewed my veil to my wedding dress because I was wearing a strapless gown but wanted my shoulders covered for the ceremony. At the last minute, it was about to rain, and she pulled out her phone, tracked the rain clouds, and strategically planned when we would walk to the church so as to avoid getting wet—without her, we would have been a soaked mess all running into the church!!
As the evening went on, she made sure my husband and I were fed and had water, a drink, and my dress was bustled correctly. She knows how to take control of the situation and knows what to do and when to do it. From making sure all of my girls were taken care of, to keeping the wedding party calm and functional, Cacky mastered the day from start to end and made the entire day run smoothly. A month after my wedding, my now-husband, my mother, my bridal party, and I are still talking about how invaluable Catherine was in making my wedding a success and how we have no idea what we would have done if she hadn’t been with us. A small confession: until the day of my wedding, I was still unclear why I needed a bride’s aid. I repeatedly told my fiancée that with wedding planners, a team of staff at our hotel venue, six bridesmaids, and a mom, I would have nothing for a “Bride’s Aid” to do. WOW, am I glad he thought ahead and hired Cacky’s services anyway.
From the moment Catherine arrived, she proved why Cacky’s Bride+Aid will be the best money ANY bride spends on the wedding. Catherine seamlessly handled (i) the things no one wants to do, but that are important (bridesmaid dress steaming, anyone?), (ii) the things everyone else is too busy to do (like photo styling because everyone else is actually in them or shooting them), and (iii) the emergencies that just happened. Not planning on having emergencies? Yup, neither was I. A groomsman ripped the side of his trousers. An hour after, my mom ripped the hem of her dress. Men can’t be trusted to iron, apparently. Catherine is LITERALLY the bridal fairy godmother; every emergency that arose, she handled immediately with superhuman speed, poise, and so much grace.

I hired Cacky last minute. By some luck of the imagination, Cacky was available on my big day. I originally asked her to come steam by my wedding dress the morning of, because it was shipped from NYC. After reading more reviews about Cacky and learning about all the amazing services she provides the day of, my instinct told me to ask her to accompany me all day.
Before the wedding, Cacky called me on the phone and had me send her photos of my dress so that she could properly prepare ahead of time. On the phone, I could tell I had already made the right choice by hiring her for my big day. Cacky was offering me tips and advice about aspects of the day I would have never thought of on my own, but they were very important. She was confident, warm, knowledgeable, and had a “YES” attitude which really soothed me and reassured me that any of my concerns that I had about my dress or about the long day ahead, Cacky would be right by my side and take care of me and my bridal party.
And that she did. Cacky worked behind the scenes (somehow managing to keep my dress out of view from all my bridesmaids) as we got into hair and makeup. She put me into my dress, set up all my reveals, made sure I looked picture perfect all day. She helped set up the photos by popping champagne, pouring and handing everyone theirs so that we could get the perfect shot! If ever I felt overwhelmed (a lot of family photographs were taken), she would just look at me with a confident encouraging smile and I instantly felt okay. She literally did not leave my side until all our photos were complete, even though she was overtime . As I sat down for the first time all day, without saying a word, Cacky took off my heels for me and massaged both of my feet so that I could feel relaxed and at peace.
I cannot say enough about Cacky, she is a professional with a sweet kind demeanor and hiring her to assist me on my special day was worth every penny.

Words cannot express how much we enjoyed having Cacky with us during our wedding day. She made sure the bridal party’s dresses, including an heirloom dress for the flower girl, were perfectly steamed after traveling to Charleston for our destination wedding. It was such a relief to have a professional on hand in case of any fashion emergencies and to be a go-to for bridal party questions. Cacky made sure everyone was perfectly styled for photos.
She was a calming presence throughout the entire day, even helping my dad multiple times learn how to manage my long veil. She told me funny stories to help calm my nerves and honestly felt like family by the end of the day.
Cacky even came to our hotel and picked up my dress to be cleaned and preserved the day after our wedding. It was very nice not to have to travel with a huge wedding dress and know it was in good hands.

We decided to hire Cacky last minute, and I am so happy we did!! She was there during my bridal portraits helping me with my veil, placing my dress, giving me hand warmers(as they were taken outside in January). She is so helpful the day of the wedding. She steams the wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses, helps during pictures and really just does whatever the bride needs her to do. I was upset I completely forgot my something blue the day of, and she actually had a blue piece of thread that she sewed into my dress 10 minutes before I walked down the aisle.
