Cacky and her assistant were with my daughter ,the wedding party, and the mothers all of the morning of her wedding day the steaming of the dresses (we had all traveled great distances to be at the wedding) the last minute adjustments on dresses, the various small emergencies from a pin needed/band aids -whatever, Cacky has at the ready within her bag of tricks Then she helped make certain my daughters dress and all of the dresses looked perfect for the photos- including at the church and the reception.

I honestly don’t know how we could have had such an easy and lovely wedding day without Cacky. Her calm demeanor,smile and complete professionalism is just outstanding Every bride and mother of the bride needs Cacky!

Cacky was an absolute dream and life saver! The best wedding gift my mom could have given me, my own personal angel for my big day! Cacky showed up while we were all in hair and makeup and began steaming bridesmaid dresses and my veil. My dress was beaded so it didn’t need steaming, but Cacky saw that it was very heavy and installed a new bustle to support the weight of my dress! She also did some last minute alterations on the back of my dress that helped me feel more comfortable with the fit! She has everything in her tool belt. Tupé tape (aka the professional’s fashion tape as Cacky informed me), bobby pins, safety pins, and who knows what else but every time there was a need Cacky had an answer.

She helped me get into my dress and carried my train everywhere I walked from when I got in my dress, until after our photos when she busted me! She was the sweetest and most calming presence. I was panicking about her leaving my side but she set me up for success and we had a beautiful evening! I cant recommend Cacky Bride + Aid enough! If you know a bride, send her Cacky!

People often say it takes a village, and we say, “it takes Cacky”! Truly, I cannot imagine the wedding day without Cacky. From the moment she arrived, she checked in on the joyful chaos that was a bride, 12 bridesmaids, two mothers, and a flower girl getting hair and makeup done. Meanwhile, the Father of the Bride was wrangling three dogs and keeping the groom and 12 groomsmen in the back of our little house. She steamed our daughter’s wedding dress, 12 bridesmaids’ dresses, and who knows how many groomsmen’s shirts and tuxes.

In the middle of swirling snow and blustery winds and all the people, Cacky comes into the room with a huge smile on her face and a calming presence that words cannot explain. There isn’t a detail or timeline that slips by her. Every dress, shoe, flower, and earrings for the bridesmaids were perfectly attended to, and each detail for the bride was all perfectly in place for the bride to elegantly slide into for photo perfection. Each groomsman’s bow tie, boutonnière, and tux were perfectly adjusted. As the mother of the bride, I truly didn’t have to do or worry about one thing. I could just focus on my sweet girl getting married.

I knew Cacky was amazing and would take care of all the things, but seeing the reaction of every vendor and the church when seeing the size of the wedding party when I would say, ‘We have Cacky for the day from the time we start getting ready until the last person walks out of the aisle’, they all melted into a calm and smiled. Cacky not only takes care and thinks ahead of every detail for the bride and mother of the bride, but also every vendor, really everyone. The things she notices and takes care of allow everyone to enjoy the moment and take it all in. Having Cacky all day with us was a dream!

From the moment Cacky walked into our home on the wedding day, we knew that hiring her was one of the best decisions we made! On what was a cold, rainy, dreary day, she brought a welcome dose of calm, positivity and can-do. Throughout the day, Cacky had an innate ability to anticipate everyone’s needs — from having hand-warmers in her pocket to double sided tape for dress straps. There wasn’t any aspect of the wedding day prep she hadn’t thought through. As I think about the amazing wedding my daughter and her new husband experienced just three weeks ago at Montage Palmetto Bluff- in the midst of the challenges we face as a world with Co-Vid 19 – one word comes to mind – PERFECTION! And frankly, that begins with the blessings we experienced through Cacky! Initially, I didn’t think we would need someone to help us with dressing. Wow – I was wrong about that.

Cacky brought an ease and peace to every detail on wedding day – details that I was confident were addressed, but somehow, things just happen during weddings. She was there every time we needed another bridesmaid dress steamed, a button sewn for a groomsman, pants buttons for the father of the bride fixed following an incorrect alteration, my dress ironed and not steamed, and most importantly, she was able to perfectly repair the bride’s veil that had been torn in two places during transport.

PERFECTION achieved with her skill, her smile, her easy demeanor, and her elegance. Peace during those moments of crisis, and laughter and joy just being with Cacky. So grateful to have had her grace our day and bless us with her presence. I can’t wait to have her with us again for more weddings in our family. Thank you, Cacky. You are awesome!

I cannot say enough good things about Cacky! From steaming the bridesmaids dresses to making sure that even the groom looked 100%, she does it all! Not only did Cacky help me get dressed for my first look with my dad at the hotel, she accompanied me to my venue to help me get ready for my first look with the groom. She transported my dress and veil to the venue for me, and made sure every detail was perfect. Cacky was with me every step of the way, traveling all over my outdoor venue with me to help with pre- ceremony photos with my groom and bridal party. Cacky always made sure my dress and veil were fluffed and beautifully positioned for the photographers. Even when I had a makeup emergency in the Charleston humidity, she was ready to help with touchups.

My wedding day went by flawlessly, and much of that is owed to Cacky! My mom and I were able to enjoy my wedding day stress free without having to even think about my dress or putting in my veil. As a bride, you want to be able to enjoy those special moments with your mom instead of worrying over the dress, and Cacky allowed us to enjoy the moment. As my groom said, she truly is the keeper of the dress!

I truly did not even realize how much I needed this service until the wedding day, and I am so happy she was there. Cacky has such a sweet and calming presence, and I will be forever grateful to her.

I was so nervous to have a destination wedding so it was really important that we had someone the day of to help with steaming, emergency alterations, and helping me get into my complicated but very beautiful wedding gown.

In the morning I was feeling a little stressed and Cacky was so amazing that she gave me the BEST shoulder massage! She was able to get rid of my stress headache and really helped me feel at ease. She was very careful with our dresses, my bridesmaid robes, and my dress and veil. She also steamed the ribbons that we used to “Tie the Knot”. I couldn’t have made it through the morning without her and we are all very thankful that she was there! If you’re getting married in Charleston I HIGHLY recommend hiring her and having her spend the morning with you!! She is incredibly sweet, patient, calm, and has such bright energy about her!

A “bridal assistant” or “bride aid” sounds like a luxury (did to me anyway) but I can assure you she is a necessity! I didn’t know we needed her until we had her! I didn’t realize the extent of her services! She wears many hats in addition to her “tool belt”. Her tool belt is full of magic acts-she can sew a hem or lace or a bead, pin anything…etc. she even tied the bow ties for the groomsmen.
She was a calming force for my daughter, the bride, and helped her with every aspect of dressing (pressed her very wrinkled dress) , rearranged her attire even helped her pose for her pictures – things that nobody else thinks about doing!

She is worth her weight in gold …she doesn’t weigh much but she’s worth a lot! Oh she’s also calm, fun and personable!! We formed a bond with her in just a few hours and were sad to say goodbye!

After she says “yes” to the ring and your daughter calls to let you know she is getting married, your first call should be to Cacky!!! She was truly an amazing part of the “bridal party”! From meeting with us to get to know Parras, the bride, and what she wanted her big day to be, to suggestions about all aspects of the bridal prep, to the day of, Cacky was incredible! She was patient but also appropriately assertive so that all timelines were met to ensure the perfect wedding!! And the day of the wedding, she arrived with her “tool belt” and took charge!

Not only was she the “bride aid” but she helped the entire wedding party… bridesmaids, groomsmen, yiayia and popi and yes, even the stressed out and overwhelmed mother of the bride!
